Zita's Story

My name is Zita. I am 13 years old. I am a 7th grade student. I live on the opposite side of School #1 in Beslan. On the September 1st, 2004 we were taken hostage for 3 days. On the third day I managed to run away.

Our house was destroyed by terrorists. They broke the windows, damaged walls and the roof. My basketball coach was Ivan Konstantinovich and he is a hero. He de mined one of the bombs. He and other 40 children were taken to be shot. He saved the children, but died himself.

I have mother and brother. To my great regret, I do not have father. My hobbies are computers, ballroom dancing, basketball and knitting.

I would like to travel all over the world, see different countries, different people. For example, I would like to go to Germany. I think the most interesting thing is to visit different countries. I like sports.

In the first photo Zita has drawn a portrait of the leader of the terrorist group and in the second photo one of the women terrorist.

Zita were living in Moscow hospital for several months. Recently she returned to Beslan. Zita and her mom, Zalina, and her brother, Ruslan, are in a great need of your support and help.
